Interesting article about Eurasian models being in high demand around the world. Are Eurasian models displayed around your city, country etc? <a href="http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/04/19/1082357106748.html?from=top5" target=_blank>Eurasian Models Worldwide</a>

yeah, Eurasian models are displayed but no one tells the consumer what ethnicity they are. It's kept a mystery and adds to the "exoticness" of the product they are advertising, i guess. The only time i hear "Eurasian" mentioned as the ethnicity of the actress, it is during an inteview with a porn star such as Tera Patrick. Seriously. Even IMPORT TUNER and other Import (japanese) Car Magazine will list the models ENTIRE nationality. Most, if not all, are hapas/EA in that they have more than one ethnicity. Even the Latina women are mixed. Big time.

Cheekily referring to themselves as the "remix generation", this group of young people sees a future born out of a mixed-race heritage. When someone says "hapa" i'm thinking there is the 50% possibility that the person in question may be part-Asian and NON-White OR part-Asian and White. When others (ELLE and others) say "Eurasian" or "EA" i ONLY think part-Asian and part-White and some models you have to wonder about. If a model is Latina and Chinese, like a girl in a previous iissue of IMPORT TUNER car magazine, to me she is not "Eurasian" at all, but "hapa". do people here at Hapas.com even bother with such distinctions?

I think if theyer half white hald asian they qualify as eurasian. white=european. if its white latino then its european orign.

sorry, since i'm in California, i think latino = mexican if a Latina/Mexican girl cannot prove a Spanish (European) bloodline, then she would get lumped into another category, don't you think? I think so.

How come I get the impression that most people can't tell the difference between nationality and ethnicity/ethnic background? My Indo/British mate for example, said on her website Nationality: British/Indonesian, while I know for sure that she's a British national, and she doesn't have a dual citizenship. And she's almost 18 <img src="images/sm_nono.gif" border=0> Anyway, same as Esprit, the main models of Giordano are Eurasians: Greg Utt and Danielle Graham. Well, the former isn't a hapa (or so I've heard) but I think he must be at least 1/8 white.

How come i get the feeling people can NOT put things in their proper context when accidently misplaced? It's like arguing over typos. when i MISTAKENLY said "nationality" i then gave as example "Latina and Chinese" which are ETHNICITIES. That should give you a clue about the PROPER context i was actually refering to. I do NOT edit my last postings of the day, esp. when i'm in a hurry. Sorry about the confusion. Most Indonesian Lux (soap bars and shower gel) models have ALWAYS been Eurasian (not strictly hapas, but at least part white), ever since the first soap bar was launched, probably in the 60's. Marini (the first Lux model) is Indonesian/Dutch/Jewish, Tamara Blezynski (who's been a Lux model for 12 years!) is Indo-Polish, Ida Iasha and Nia Zulkarnaen are both Indo-Dutch (the former's a hapa, the latter isn't), Nadya Hutagalung is Indo-Australian, and the latest, Mariana Renata, is Indo-French.
